You'll step into the rift valley at Þingvellir, walking between the North American and Eurasian plates. On the way to Haukadalur, we stop to say hello to Icelandic horses, then you watch Strokkur explode skyward and feel the mist of Gullfoss, often with hardly anyone else around. The last stop is Kerið, where red volcanic slopes wrap around a still blue lake in the low evening sun.
