This is Iceland at its most rare and intimate. For a few precious weeks each year, at the height of the Icelandic summer, a small number of private hot air balloon flights take off from Selfoss, giving your group the sky to yourselves.

The entire basket is yours alone, whether you are two or six. Drift silently over rolling green valleys, glacial rivers, and volcanic landscapes as Iceland unfolds beneath you in every direction. No strangers, no shared schedule - just your group, the crew, and 90 minutes of flight over some of the most breathtaking scenery on earth.

Choose between two ways to begin your adventure. With the transfer option, an experienced driver collects your group from your Capital Area accommodation and takes you directly to the launch site. Prefer to make your own way? The meet-at-location option lets you arrive independently, ideal if you are already exploring South Iceland or staying nearby.

Whichever option you choose, the flight begins with a safety briefing from a crew with over 30 years of expertise, and ends with a traditional champagne toast and light refreshments upon landing.

Availability is strictly limited. Private flights operate only during a short window in July and August, with just three departures per day. Your preferred flight time will be arranged personally with our team the day before your flight. Early booking is essential to secure your preferred date.
