This tour is ideal for those travelling the South Coast during summer season. Get up close and personal to the iconic icebergs at Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon on a Zodiac Boat, accompanied by an experienced guide. The one hour boat ride gives plenty of time to explore the lagoon and what it has to offer. On lucky days you might spot a seal taking a sunbath on an iceberg, which happens frequently. You will be back at the parking lot at 11:00. You will need to drive to Skaftafell for the glacier hike, which is approximately 50 minute drive. The glacier hike however doesn't start until 14:20, giving you plenty of time to grab lunch, and explore nearby areas such as the Diamond Beach or Skaftafell.

After meeting with your certified glacier guide, you will get ready for the hike, finding the correct size of crampons, helmet and the necessary glacier hiking equipment which is provided for the tour. After a short ride from the base camp you will be greeted by the glacier tongue, where we will begin our journey. We will be walking along a trail which offers great views of the glacial area, interesting glacier formations and more. A camera is highly recommended, as we will be taking stops along the way, specially chosen by your guide where great photos can be captured. After the hike you will be driven back to the base camp where we will finish.
